Rugby Fans Bring Joy To Homeless Man With Free Ticket To Six Nations Game

During Wales’ Six Nations opener against Italy at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, a group of rugby fans turned a homeless man’s day into an unforgettable experience.

Last weekend, Jonathan Morgan, 50, and his friends were preparing to attend the much-anticipated match.

Their group, originally consisting of seven members, faced an unexpected change when one of their friends had to cancel at the last minute. This left them with a spare ticket.

Rather than sell the extra ticket, Morgan and his pals decided to give it away in a gesture that would soon capture the hearts of many.

As they made their way to the stadium, the friends spotted Simon, a homeless man, sitting on Cardiff’s Westgate Street. Without hesitation, they offered him the ticket.

Jonathan Morgan recounted, “I said we should give it to someone who’s homeless. As we were walking to the game, he was just sitting there.”

Simon gratefully accepted the ticket and joined the group inside the stadium.

The kind-hearted fans didn’t stop there; they bought Simon some beers and a hot dog, making sure he felt welcomed and included.

The moment became particularly emotional during the Welsh national anthem.

Morgan shared, “He cried during the anthem. He said it was one of the best things that had ever happened to him.” It was Simon’s first time inside the stadium.

The game itself was also a triumph for Wales, as they defeated Italy 42-0, taking them to the top of the Six Nations table.

Jonathan’s daughter, Natassja Morgan, took to Twitter to express her pride in her father’s kind act.

The tweet quickly went viral, amassing 5,000 retweets and 75,000 likes. Jonathan, who doesn’t use Twitter himself, was taken aback by the reaction.

He explained, “I didn’t do it for anything like that. I haven’t even got Twitter. I think he enjoyed himself. A good day out.”
