Single Gay Dad Gave A New Life To A Girl With Down Syndrome Who Was Rejected By 20 Adoptive Families

You might have heard of the amazing story of Luca Trapanese and his daughter Alba. They are a father-daughter duo who have won the hearts of millions of people online. But their journey was not easy. They had to overcome many challenges and prejudices to become a family.

Luca is a 41-year-old Italian man who has always wanted to be a dad. But he faced a lot of obstacles because he is gay and single. In Italy, adoption is usually reserved for married heterosexual couples.

“I was told that I would only get a child with a sickness, a severe disability, or behavioral problems,” he told the BBC. “I was totally fine with that.”

Alba was a baby girl with Down syndrome who was abandoned by her biological mother. She was also rejected by 20 potential adoptive families because of her condition.

But Luca saw something special in her. He decided to adopt her when she was just 13 days old.

“She brought me happiness and a sense of fulfillment. I am proud to be her dad,” he said.

“It was the first time I’d held a newborn baby. Before that moment, I had always been scared. But when I first held Alba, I knew I was ready to be her dad,” he said. “I was overcome with joy. I felt she was my daughter right away.”

Luca and Alba’s beautiful story went viral on social media. Luca wrote a book about their experience and how it “breaks stereotypes about fatherhood, religion, and family.”

They have a huge fan base on Instagram, where Luca posts pictures and videos of their daily adventures. They have over 320,000 followers who love to see their happy moments.

They have a lot of fun together and make the most of every day. Of course, the pandemic has affected their lives, but they still find ways to be positive and grateful. They like to go outside, travel around Italy, paint, meet friends, and enjoy each other’s company.

We are sending all our love and support to Luca and Alba! Luca is clearly a man with a big heart, and thanks to him, this little girl has a bright future ahead of her.

Please share this article if you, too, were moved by what Luca has done.
