You probably know Shaquille O’Neal as one of the greatest basketball players ever. But did you know he is also one of the kindest and most generous celebrities out there?
Shaq has a big heart, and he loves to share his wealth with others. He is always looking for ways to make someone’s day, whether it is by paying for their meal, leaving a huge tip, or giving them a surprise gift.
One of the families that Shaq has blessed with his generosity is the
Collins Kids, is a family of nine siblings who have a popular Instagram account. Shaq became friends with them through social media and decided to visit them in person earlier this year.
He had a blast with the kids, playing games, giving hugs, taking selfies, and handing out presents. He also encouraged the parents and showed them a lot of love and respect.
Karissa, the mom of the family, posted about their amazing experience with Shaq on Instagram: “He came in and played “Watch ya mouth” with the kids, loved on them, encouraged them, entertained them, took pics with them, gave them gifts, encouraged us as parents, and just showed us so much love.”
But Shaq was not done yet. He wanted to do more for the family, so he came back a few months later and took them out for dinner at a chicken place. He treated them like royalty and made them feel special. Karissa wrote, “Last night we had a surprise visit from Shaq. He took us to dinner as a family at Babes Chicken. It was so much fun to just hang out and eat dinner with him.”
And that’s not all. The next day, Shaq took them to a Mercedes dealership and ordered a custom 15-passenger van for them, which they will receive in mid-July. The family was stunned by his generosity, and the kids were overjoyed. They hugged him and thanked him for his kindness.
But wait, there’s more! Shaq also took them out for dinner again, this time at a rainforest-themed restaurant. He was in a good mood and wanted to spread some joy around. He paid for another table’s entire meal, even though he didn’t know them and they were from out of state and on a mission trip. He also tipped the waitress $1000 after he learned that her car had broken down that day.
“He then took us to dinner at the rainforest café, where he paid for another [table’s] entire meal, not knowing that they were from out of state and here on missions. And then he tipped our waitress $1000 after her car broke down today,” Karissa shared.
During their second dinner, Shaq noticed that the dad of the family was having some trouble with his truck. The AC and the heater were not working well. Shaq wanted to help him out, so he took him to a Ford dealership and bought him a new truck!
The family was overwhelmed by his generosity, and they felt truly blessed. Shaq also spent quality time with them, talking to them, listening to them, and inspiring them. Karissa wrote: “He also spent time encouraging us, loving our children, and speaking life into our family.”
Shaq is an amazing person. He has a lot of money, but he also has a lot of compassion. So he uses his fame and fortune to make a positive difference in the world.
