Marguerite Koller is about to turn 100 years old, and she has a lot to celebrate. She is one of the rare people who can live for a century, and she has a huge family that loves her. In fact, she just met her 100th great-grandchild, and the moment was captured on video. It was a heartwarming scene that touched many people.
Peggy, as she prefers to be called, has been married to William Koller since 1942. They had a beautiful love story that resulted in 11 children. They stayed together for 70 years, until William passed away. But their legacy lives on, with 56 grandchildren and 100 great-grandkids.
Peggy always wanted to have a big family. She said that being an only child was hard and lonely. She wanted to have people around her who cared for her and each other. Well, she certainly got her wish!
Her family grew even bigger when her 100th great-grandson was born. The baby boy was named after Peggy, Koller William Balster. His parents, Chrissy and Patrick Balster, took him to meet his great-grandma as soon as they left the hospital. Peggy was overjoyed to see him. She held him in her arms and smiled. Chrissy said that Peggy was ecstatic to meet Koller.
The name Koller also has a special significance for Patrick. He said that he always liked the name Cole, and Chrissy suggested Koller as a variation. They also liked that Koller William was the name of Chrissy’s grandfather, Peggy’s husband.
Peggy’s family is in awe of her vitality and zest for life. Despite her age, she remains active and cheerful, which they attribute to her close-knit family ties. Peggy delights in the company of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, showering them with affection, wisdom, and homemade meals. Her grandson, Greg Stokes, describes her as an inspiration, marveling at her unwavering determination to keep moving forward each day.
Having a supportive family is one of the best things in life. And having a grandma around is a blessing. She is the source of wisdom, comfort, and love. We are sure that Peggy is the best mom, grandma, and great-grandma anyone could ask for.
