Disney is love
In a world where many still occasionally daydream about being princesses and having perfect fairytale weddings, one heartwarming real-life story has captured the attention of millions. Lee Loechler, a man deeply in love, orchestrated a creative and geeky proposal that brought a touch of magic to the ordinary.
His girlfriend, Sthuthi David, had held onto her childhood dreams of being a princess and having a fairytale wedding, even as she grew older. Little did she know that her dreams were about to become an extraordinary reality.
Lee spent six months planning a proposal that would be nothing short of unforgettable. He decided to animate both himself and Sthuthi in her favorite movie, ‘Sleeping Beauty.’ In this animated scene, Prince Lee, both on screen and in reality, knelt before Princess Sthuthi to propose.
With a heartfelt declaration, Lee took that pivotal knee, presenting a ring and his love to his high school sweetheart. The answer, of course, was a resounding “yes,” marking the beginning of their real-life fairytale.
The video capturing this remarkable proposal quickly went viral, amassing over 1.1 million views and counting. Lee Loechler’s creative and heartwarming gesture not only fulfilled Sthuthi’s dreams but also served as a reminder that love, imagination, and dedication can turn intricate fantasies into tangible realities.

Lee asked his girlfriend Sthuthi to marry him by creating an animated experience where they became characters in her favorite movie, ‘Sleeping Beauty.’
Lee’s girlfriend appeared bewildered upon noticing a discrepancy in one of the scenes.
Lee, with the assistance of illustrator Kayla Coombs, modified the scene in which Prince Phillip kisses Princess Aurora on the lips to wake her up. In the altered version, Prince Lee produces a ring box and tosses it to the real-life Lee, who catches it.
We may not have exact information about how many times Lee rehearsed everything flawlessly, but one thing is certain – he executed it all splendidly.
Cardiologist Sthuthi is one lucky girl!
“A few years back, a friend of mine told me he was planning to propose to his then-girlfriend, and I suggested he should “Forrest Gump” himself into her favorite movie, and then have his on-screen character “toss” the ring to his real-life self. I don’t know where that idea came from, but it felt fun and magical, and it played into my skill set as a filmmaker. He didn’t think it was right for him, so I filed it away for later use.”
Lee knelt down on one knee and asked for his girlfriend’s hand.
It’s a rare occasion to have the opportunity to propose to the person you’ve been with since high school.
Sthuthi felt overjoyed when she discovered that her favorite film screening was attended by a crowd consisting of her friends and family.
Family and friends were there too.
Lee dedicated the past half-year to perfecting his proposal.
In a world where life can get complicated, Lee Loechler’s proposal to Sthuthi David is like a breath of fresh air. It reminds us that even when we grow up, we shouldn’t give up on our dreams, even if they seem like something out of a storybook. He did something cool by using his creativity to propose to Sthuthi in a way that felt like a fairy tale.
