Channing Tatum and actress Jenna Dewan shared nine years of marriage, and the two had a daughter together, Everly. Although the couple went through a divorce in 2018, this turning point became instrumental in Tatum deepening his connection with his child. Speaking in an interview, the actor shared: “I prioritized her above everything else. We’ve forged a strong bond and become the best of friends.”
However, the transition to being a single father wasn’t without its challenges, and Channing Tatum grappled with the reality of raising his daughter on his own. Coming from a different background, he felt a sense of uncertainty, navigating the complexities of parenting a strong-willed little girl.
Reflecting on this, he admitted that he felt a bit lost because he didn’t know what to do, and that he “simply want to do right”.

Ensuring Everly’s upbringing differed from his own was imperative for Channing. Recalling instances with his father that involved threats of punishment, including whipping, the 22nd Jump Street emphasized his desire to employ a more nurturing approach to educating his daughter. “We don’t spank Evy; I have to learn where to be strong, where to be firm, but not in the way I was,” he affirmed.
Beyond being an exemplary father, there are whispers that Channing Tatum is simply a good bloke all around. His current girlfriend, Zoe Kravitz, showers him with praise whenever questioned about their relationship. She often refers to him as a “wonderful human.”
