Designer Mom Faces Criticism For Covering Her Baby’s Body With Tattoos

Shameka Morris, a mother with a unique approach to parenting, openly embraces her love for tattoos. She extended this passion to her son, Treylin, by tattooing his body at the age of six months. Despite facing criticism on social media for her unconventional decision, Shameka remains steadfast in her beliefs and unbothered by others’ opinions.

Shameka Morris is a fashion designer from West Palm Beach who has a unique parenting style. Embracing tattoos as a vital part of her lifestyle, she extends this belief to her son, covering his entire body in tattoos from a young age.

Despite facing backlash and outrage over viral images of her son, Shameka stands firm, unapologetically defending her actions on social media. In her words, “For those who judge, I couldn’t care less. This is our chosen lifestyle, and we embrace it fully.”

Morris has faced a lot of negative reactions; in a recent interview, she said, “I receive a lot of aggressive reactions. People say that I am raising my son as a ‘gangster’ or a ‘thug,’ and they are not used to seeing a baby with tattoos.”

She also remembered a previous incident: when she was eight months pregnant, she did a photoshoot with her brothers at a tattoo parlor.

“From that moment on, I faced mockery on social media. All the comments were negative, with people saying that my baby would be born with many tattoos and that his skin would be ruined. It was unbelievable,” she said.

She has tried to ignore the criticism, but it keeps growing and pressuring her. Many people think that her practice is harmful to her child because the baby doesn’t know what is happening to his body, especially his skin.

Shameka Morris also said that the criticism hurts her because she knows she is not a bad mother. She said, “The response has been dreadful. It pains me because I know I am not a negligent mother.”

She may be a good mother in other ways, but her decision to tattoo her son’s body has made her look bad. Tattoos are often seen as a way of expressing oneself, but when the person is a baby, it will obviously cause a lot of backlash. That’s truth!
