Sibling love is beautiful because it’s incredibly unconditional. Even though we, as brothers and sisters, often argue, say hurtful things, or make each other angry, at the end of the day, your siblings are the ones who will always support you.
I’m lucky to have both sisters and brothers, and I share a really special bond with each of them.
To put it simply, no matter how I feel or how close we are at the moment, I’d do anything to help them if they asked.
This particular story really resonated with me. It’s about Chris Garafola, who hails from Vermont, and Brittany, the older sister with Down syndrome. As they grew older, their friendship got stronger. So, when Chris found Tatiana, his true love, and proposed to her, he knew Brittany would have a significant role in their wedding.
Tatiana and Chris decided to wait until Brittany could attend their wedding. Due to her weakened immune system from an illness, Brittany needed to get her COVID-19 shot before joining any social events.
In February 2021, Brittany got vaccinated, which allowed Chris and Tatiana to start planning their wedding. Chris, who is a male model, shared a video on his YouTube channel in late March of the same year. The video showed Tatiana talking to Brittany on FaceTime.
Brittany was surprised to learn that her younger brother was getting married, but Tatiana had an even more surprising question for her during the conversation. In the video, Tatiana asked Brittany to be her maid of honor. Overwhelmed with joy, Brittany tearfully accepted, saying, “Yes, I can.”
So, in April 2021, Chris and Tatiana got married, with Brittany serving as the maid of honor. The newlyweds had a special surprise for Brittany – a unique ring to commemorate the day.
Chris expressed that Brittany had been his best friend since the beginning, and even though he was now married, their friendship would remain unchanged.
Of course, the pictures of Chris, Tatiana, and Brittany became really popular on the internet. The love shown in the photos is so strong that it can touch anyone’s heart, no matter how tough they are.
