On July 12th, Dylan Spoering placed a sign in his front yard, inviting everyone to a concert for free.
Dylan Spoering’s neighbor and fellow musician, Thomas Rehbein, spotted Dylan’s sign in his front yard. Thomas shared it on Facebook with the caption:
“I have no idea who Dylan Spoering is, but he made this sign and put it out in his front yard, which I saw while biking home. Wouldn’t it be cool if a bunch of people showed up for his free concert?”
Luckily, the Facebook post gained widespread attention, and hundreds of people joined in to attend and show their support for Dylan’s impromptu concert.
Dylan didn’t know most of them; they were mostly strangers to him.
Everyone wanted to help Dylan make the memory of a lifetime, even in the pouring rain.
A lot of people held up signs to encourage Dylan.
The concert was also broadcast on the internet, and more than 28,000 people tuned in!
When the concert started, Dylan performed for 10 minutes using his music book from elementary school.
