When you first bring your baby home, you think they’re perfect…
In the end, there is nothing truer than this.
Which you are grateful for (even if it leads to other problems.)
In time, though, the whole sleep thing gets easier.
And you NEED a night out.
Um, a lot.
Eventually the sleepless nights change you.
And your equally PERFECT in-laws, lol.
Of course, you meet those just wonderful, PERFECT parents (who are full of it).
And your sex life takes a hit.
You are TIRED.
On especially hellish nights you might do ill-advised things to get through it.
And your baby rarely stays down long.
Getting your baby down for the night is a STRESS.
Far scarier than diapers, though, are the nights.
And mistakes will be made.
There will be definitely be surprises.
You might struggle a little at first.
Changing diapers takes getting a little used to.
And, btw, they ain’t cheap.
Your baby, meanwhile, won’t make things easier.
You gotta cut those nails, though, ’cause…
And some things are REALLY nerve wracking.
In those early days a lot of things — like venturing into public — are pretty nerve wracking.
